About MILTECS
Located in Queensland, MILTECS offers diverse terrain and controlled airspace for comprehensive testing of autonomous ground and aerial systems and is operated by EP Equipment. The facility provides over 14 acres across 3 locations in SE Queensland specifically designed for testing Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and other autonomous systems.
MILTECS is open to industry, government, academic and Defence users seeking access to representative land environments for autonomous systems testing and evaluation. The facility has been designed to meet the needs of Defence customer requirements as well as commercial operators.
The MILTECS team has extensive experience supporting complex autonomous systems test programs and can provide operational, engineering and logistics support to test teams.

Multi-Terrain Environments
Three distinct sites providing varied terrain types from cleared grassland to scrubby bushland to rocky gradient terrain suitable for testing a wide range of UGV mobility profiles.
UGS Testing
Dedicated areas for testing Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) in realistic environmental conditions including day, night and all-weather scenarios.
UAS Testing
Open airspace areas for testing small-to-medium UAS in VLOS and BVLOS configurations, including coordination with CASA for airspace management.
Payload Evaluation
Dedicated static and mobile test positions for evaluating sensor payloads, EO/IR systems and communications equipment on UGVs and UAS.
